Leakproof Washing + Care Routine

As our bras are designed to hold breastmilk - it's imperative to take a little extra care to ensure your are keeping up with hygiene and advised washing routine.

Proper rinsing, daily washing, and thorough drying are all it takes to keep your leakproof bras in great condition.

Here are some tips to keep your leakproof bras in the best possible condition:

  • Make sure to wash your used bras daily.
They should not sit at the bottom of your laundry basket or bedroom floor with breastmilk.

  • If you can't wash, make sure to rinse your bras under cold water until the water runs clear and hang out in fresh air/ sunlight until you can manage a laundry load.

  • Do not let milk sit in the fibres. Hand-rinse under cold tap water straight after taking them off to flush out the milk.

  • Avoid using fabric softeners.

  • When drying we recommend turning your bras/cami's inside out as the leakproof layer can take longer to dry.

  • Ensure the core of the pad is completely bone-dry before storing it in your drawer or bra

  • If weather is cooler, make sure your bras are dried in a well-aired space, and are completely dry within a day. Hanging them where they can get some good airflow or natural sunlight is recommended.

  • If you live in humid environments make sure to dry bras in areas with as less moisture as possible. Dry your bras in as much sun as possible.

  • It's not recommended to leave your bras damp at any point.

  • Make sure your leakproof bras are 100% dry before storing them in your cupboard /drawers.

  • Store your leakproof bras in an airy basket on a shelf in your wardrobe.

  • If you feel your bras need a revive we recommend to do a natural solution soak : baking soda/tea tree oil/vinegar before washing to neutralize odors. Soak your bras in this natural solution for at least 1 hour for a re-fresh.

  • Like any other undergarment, if not changed or washed properly, it can develop odours over time. Just remember: wash often, dry completely.

    Do not:
  • Leave your bras  un-rinsed with breastmilk in a wet bag or laundry pile for too long.
  • Incomplete Drying: Storing them before they're bone dry including the inner cups/layers, especially in humid conditions.
  • Poor Ventilation: Hanging them in damp, closed-off areas.
  • Using Fabric Softener: This can coat fibres and trap moisture.

If the above re-fresh tips don't work - it's advised to replace your bra immediately and do not use your bra at any point if you feel it's compromised.
